AeroGain BTA System
The AeroGain BTA (Between/Behind The Arms) system allows you to mount a bottle between your arm cups. With this system, the bottle can be positioned either directly between the arms for wider cup configurations or offset behind the elbows, which is typically the most aerodynamic position for a bottle. Our measurements show that a bottle placed just behind the elbows can save the rider up to 6 W at 45 km/h, while a bottle placed higher, closer to the chest, can save up to 10 W.
With changes in Ironman and World Triathlon rules eliminating the option to place a bottle or hydration bladder in front of the race suit, a similar aerodynamic gain can be achieved by raising the bottle close to the chest, filling the previously empty space. Depending on the rider, this can further improve aerodynamics and deliver overall savings compared to not using a BTA bottle.
The AeroGain BTA system is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing cups and fits most triathlon bikes. It works by clamping the base plate between the mounting bridge and your cups.
The BTA mount comes in various heights and angles and can be further customized to the rider.
